The Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters represented by the Technical Affairs and Security Media Department received three international awards in the Summit Marketing Effectiveness Awards competition. A total of 732 entities participated in the competition, among which 59 were nominated to receive awards by the Summit International Awards, the organizing body.

Lieutenant Colonel Saeed Hussein Al Khajah, Deputy Director of Technical Affairs and Security Media Department at Abu Dhabi Police, said that receiving international awards is an appreciation of the department’s efforts to develop its capacities by innovative methods in order to reach the public through marketing awareness programs, in an unfamiliar way, targeting all community segments in a modern way that resonates with every targeted segments. According to Al Khajah, this includes the department’s procedures to constantly improve and develop performance to achieve the highest level of customer satisfaction and the ability to improve its relations with all staff and partners.

“This win is the outcome of constant modernizing and development strategy, and the enlightened vision of Lt. General His Highness Sheikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior. These three elements are considered to be the source of the excellence of policing that aims at safety and security of society. His Highness is very keen to maintain the police institution excellence in all its scopes, especially in providing services according to international quality standards,” he added.

The Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters has previously received many high-level awards and has amplified efforts to move from localism to internationalism, as part of its main objectives aiming to achieve general excellence. This aim is a reflection of its vision to ensure that the Emirate of Abu Dhabi remains as a secure and safe society, by providing high quality police services to citizens, residents, and visitors.

The committee of the Summit International Awards 2012 announced the names of winners of the Summit Marketing Effectiveness Awards on its website, where the Security Media Department received three awards, coming first for its F999 sports car project; the project won the Platinum Award for the “Corporate Reputation” category; it came second receiving the Silver Award in the “Non-Profit Entities” category, while the Falcon Motorcycle received the Silver Award of Effective Marketing in the category “Corporate reputation.”

Jocelyn Luciano, Executive Director for the SIA, commended the Security Media for winning three awards among the 732 participants for its excellence in enhancing cooperation and communication with all segments of society, contributing in  transferring and establishing the awareness message through  different activities and events, and strengthening the confidence and cooperative spirit among the youth using attractive and modern language.

Luciano also hailed the Abu Dhabi Police’s efforts on excellent education by marketing its awareness programs using the F999 Formula car, and the Falcon Motorcycle in order to decrease the rate of car accidents and deliver a message to motorists to respect the roads and adhere to speed limits, in addition to encouraging them to uphold the responsibility towards themselves and their society. She also expressed her admiration of the Abu Dhabi Police for using an Emirati sports car and police motorcycle to simulate the youth generation, especially the sportsmen among them.
