Maid killer arrested
ADP has recently arrested a cook accused of killing a house maid at the house of her sponsor. He hit her on her head with a stone several times and set her body on fire. Information provided by community members assisted in arresting the criminal.
According to major Jumaa al Kaabi, Head of Homicide Section of CID at ADP, the crime was committed on 24 December last year. The body of the house maid identified as "Z.R.R.", 35 years, Asian, was found in the house of her employer in Abu Dhabi. It appeared that the murderer hit her with a medium size stone and burned her body to hide his crime.
The killer identified as "Aa.K.", 39 years old, a cook in a near house. The criminal admitted that an affair started between them ten days ago. The absence of the family abroad facilitated their meetings in the maid's room. He said that he killed her because she claimed several times that she became pregnant because of him. He stated that he did not have sex with her in a direct way. When she insisted he hit her twice with a stone he found in her bathroom, burned her body then ran away to the house of his sponsor. He was apprehended by assistance of his employer who provided the police with information about him.
The Head of Homicide Section, CID at ADP lauded the efforts made by police elements where they reached the criminal in a record time. He also added "his staff is well qualified and skilled to detect any crime no matter how it is mysterious". He urged the public to assist police men in their work.
