Support reflect a shining image of our country
The Tourism Police Section, General Directorate of Policing Operations at Abu Dhabi Police considers the hosting of FIFA Club World Cup a distinguished opportunity to enhance the government's effort to reflect the civilized image of UAE. It also introduces our norms, customs, traditions and culture to others in a modern way.
Lt. Colonel Ahmed Darweesh Al Qamri, Head of Tourism Police Section hopes that the motto of "Ideal Cheering is exquisite and civilized" will be used in all sports events which the country hosts in the future. It represents the principles and values of our country.
Al Qamzi asks nationals, residents and tourists not to hesitate to seek assistance from the Tourism Section elements, when they need it. The Tourism policemen are ready to deliver any service as quickly as possible and to give assistance when they are asked. They can deal with any individual in any language. Our elements work in response to the directives of UAE higher leadership, particularly Abu Dhabi Emirate which looks after the interests of its visitors. Tourism Police spare no effort to entrench tourist security for the security and safety of all Abu Dhabi visitors.
A new CID Unit has been introduced in the Section. It is linked with the patrols Branch. It deals with information collection, criminal offences and confronting uncivilized behaviors at tourist sites. The Section handles the tourists' problems at police stations and facilitates their formalities to the minimum. The Section works with other organizations and agencies to serve the country visitors. The Section seeks preventive solutions to the the problem that tourists may face.
According to Major Mazeed Al Utaibi, Deputy Head of the Section, the Tourism Police elements confront trouble makers at tourist sites by arresting them. Other duties of Tourism Policemen are to coordinate with Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority and other relevant organizations. They secure individuals, establishments and tourist sites in Abu Dhabi Emirate, in collaboration with the Community Policing Department, monitoring negative and positive phenomena.
