"Family Development" reviews ADP model of excellence
Major General Mohammad bin Al Awadhi al Minhali, Director General of Human Resources and Head of Quality and Excellence Team at ADP has received a delegation from the Family Development Foundation comprises: Khawla Ahmed Khalifa Al Suwaidi, Director of Family Development Center in Al Ain, Raffia Abdullah Eid Al Kitbi, Director of Family Development Center in Al Shuaib, Amina Mohammad Sultan al Hamadi Director of Family Development Center in Al Salaa and Bakheeta Salim Hammad Al Kitbi, Director of Family Development Center in Al Heir.
The delegation reviewed ADP experience and its implementation mechanisms, which resulted in ADP getting 4 prizes of Abu Dhabi Government Excellence Award in the second year.
Al Minhali greeted the delegation and affirmed the mutual interest between local institutions and departments in exchanging knowledge and enhancing partnerships in response to Abu Dhabi Government aspirations.
During a meeting with the delegation, Major Ahmed Bu Haroon, Head of Quality Development Section at ADP Department of Strategy and Performance Development explained in details qualification of ADP GHQ for Global Quality Management System (ISO 2008:9001) since 2000. He said "The duration of the current project is two years, divided into four stages and each stage is six months. He confirms that by October 2010 all ADP GHQ Department will get (ISO 2008:9001)".
Lt. Sameeha Al Zidjali, Director of Technical Affairs at the Institutional Excellence Secretariat Section, Captain Rashid Abdullah Al Dossari, Head of Institutional Excellence Secretariat Section and a number of Quality and Excellence Teams Representatives who were present at the meeting delivered a presentation about ADP journey to the Award. The presentation included the change process in 2003 with the launch of the first five-year strategic plan and the introduction of a new organizational structure for ADP GHQ including the organizational structure of the Department of Strategy and performance Development, working teams efforts in implementation of global standards of quality and implementation of institutional excellence standards within ADP.
"The concept of excellence and its requirements was clear from the outset of the time where ADP had started drafting the outlines of its plan to get excellence in government performance awards, in response to the directives of police leadership in systematic steps and through effective mechanism", added Al Zidjali.
The presentation also focused on ADP interest in total development project and achieving the vision of our higher leadership.
Lt. Colonel Dr. Nawal Abdullah Al Katheeri from Forensic Evidence Department and winner of exemplary employee prize during the first year of the award explained to the delegation her experience in getting the award, nomination stages and preparation of required documents.
At the end of the visit Major General Al Minhali presented a memento to the visiting delegation whose members lauded the distinguished performance of ADP stressing the importance of visits exchange to achieve more cooperation and to make use of different experiences to promote general work system.
In turn the leader of the delegation Khawla Al Suwaidi thanked the working team for hospitality and warm welcome considering the receiving of the award by ADP is something to be proud of by the whole country. She wished ADP GHQ every success.
