The Central Operations Department at Abu Dhabi Police organized a specialized workshop to discuss means of continuous improvement. The workshop was attended by Major General Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, Director General of Central Operations at Abu Dhabi Police GHQ; Brigadier General Ismail Al Sirkal, Deputy Director General of Abu Dhabi Police Central Operations; as well as the directors and heads of departments. The workshop focused on (Sigma Six) System for continuous improvement of services and processes.  

The workshop recently organized by the Central Operations Department at the Eastern Mangroves Hotel, addressed the (Six Sigma) methodology and the means of applying it. During the workshop, the comparisons of performance improvement with 99.9% acceptance and “Six Sigma” level quality were also explained.

The workshop also reviewed the process output variation in service delivery, eliminating errors, and speed of access to the scene.  

Furthermore, the workshop’s agenda tackled improvement solutions sources, analysis tools, process indicators, the role of the Green Belt in the improvement process with data collection and interpretation; cost analysis; justification of improvement opportunities and stabilization of operations. In addition, the program shed the light on the Black Belt skills in problem solving, quality management, basic statistics, change management, work team, project management, training and guidance.

At the end of the workshop, the participants discussed a number of improvement cases for Abu Dhabi Police GHQ’s projects and “Six Sigma Project Charter.
