Abu Dhabi Police urged drivers to adhere to the speeds shown in the screens, noting that radars installed in the towers capture traffic violations such as speeding, expired vehicles, unauthorized heavy vehicles and violations of not leaving enough safety space, standing on the shoulder of the road, obstructing traffic, and standing to the right of the road.

Also it stressed the need to abide by the guidance messages that are transmitted through smart cabins during volatile weather conditions, follow-up alerts broadcasted by Abu Dhabi Police through radio and social media and adhere to preventive instructions through the smart system of the police.

Abu Dhabi, which includes traffic guidelines, speed reductions and traffic stop until visibility is clear.  

ADP explained that the goal of smart gates is to reduce traffic accidents and enhance the traffic safety of drivers and road users and that the release of violations using smart systems contributes to providing the highest levels of traffic safety, and avoiding the negative consequences of driving a vehicle that has not been licensed and has not been checked.

Abu Dhabi Police called on owners of expired vehicles to speed up their license, before they are monitored and violated through smart devices, and apply article 25 of the Traffic and Traffic Act on driving an expired vehicle, which entails a fine of AED 500 and 4 traffic points and a 7-day vehicle reservation.
