Abu Dhabi Police warned drivers of the dangers of "Tuning Vehicles" with extra parts to change engine specifications in order to increase their speed and amplify their sounds, which may lead to a fire in the vehicle and endanger the safety of the driver as well as the violation under the law.
ADP stated that the Federal Traffic and Traffic Act punishes the offender of the violation of changes in the engine of the vehicle or the base (Chassis) without a license of 1000 dirhams and 12 traffic points and the reservation of the vehicle for 30 days AED as stipulated law No. 5 of the year 2020 regarding the reservation of vehicles in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, that the financial value of the dismantling of the vehicle 10,000 Dirhams to be booked until the payment of the financial value of the cancellation of the booking for a maximum of three months and then referred to the vehicle for auction.
ADP stressed that traffic safety is a duty and a responsibility shared by all without exception, and therefore it is necessary to join the efforts of all segments of society, and the need to adhere to positive behaviors and be responsible towards themselves and others through their commitment to the traffic law.
ADP explained that providing safety and security and protecting young people from traffic accidents and the resulting deaths and serious injuries are among the priorities of the traffic safety strategy of Abu Dhabi Police to improve the behavior of young drivers by organizing programs aimed at opening channels for dialogue with them, in order to contribute to achieving sustainable traffic safety to preserve the life of the human being, which is the most important wealth and the goal of development.
