The Ministry of Interior, represented by the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ, signed an agreement with Farah Leisure Parks Management, operator of Yas Waterworld and Ferrari World, to deliver entertainment offers with special prices to members of the Ministry of Interior and Abu Dhabi Police and their families. The special offers will begin on May 19th.

This agreement comes under the directives of Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, and manifests the Ministry of Interior’s leading role in providing the best services to its members and their families.

The memorandum of understanding was signed yesterday at the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ by Major General Khalil Dawood Badran, Director General of Finance and Services at the Abu Dhabi Police and Mike Oswald, Director of Operations, Farah Leisure Parks Management, which is the operator for Yas Waterworld and Ferrari World Abu Dhabi.

According to the MoU, police members will have discounts to enjoy Yas Waterworld and Ferrari World in Abu Dhabi.

Major General Badran said that the agreement includes advantages that allow the members of Abu Dhabi Police and Ministry of Interior and their families to enjoy special offers at Ferrari World and Yas Waterworld. These two theme parks were named the Middle East's Leading Tourist Attraction 2013; the water park is inspired by the UAE culture and its deep-rooted heritage in pearl diving. He said that this destination helps encourage internal tourism and places the UAE and Abu Dhabi more specifically, in a leading position in the region.

“During the next period, the Ministry of Interior’s team that is assigned to collaborate with Farah Leisure Parks Management will establish a promotional plan to introduce police members to the unique advantages that they will receive along with their families for Yas Waterworld. The theme park spans over 15 hectares to provide the best choice for family leisure with its restaurants, shops, interactive games, in addition to its main water attractions.

Mike Oswald of Farah Leisure Parks Management, operator of Yas Waterworld and Ferrari World, said that the agreement between the two entities is to enhance the partnership and governmental support of the new projects in the Emirates of Abu Dhabi and other Emirates as well.

He said: “Based on the agreement, we will offer special prices for the groups of the Ministry of Interior and the Abu Dhabi Police in order to support the conferences and exhibitions organized by the ministry, both inside and outside the country.”

Oswald said that Yas Waterworld and Ferrari World are among the largest entertainment destinations in the country and in the Middle East. “The members of the Ministry of Interior and the Abu Dhabi Police will be able to benefit from our special offers as part of our support and mutual cooperation,” he explained.

He added: “Yas Waterworld and its restaurants provide the best food in the Emirate. Ferrari World also provides the most exciting games and the best Italian cuisine.”
