Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, inaugurated on Tuesday, the new complex of buildings for Abu Dhabi Police departments.
The complex, which can accommodate more than two thousand employees, consists of three buildings. The first building houses the Engineering Projects Administration; the Purchasing and Stores Department; the Community Services Department; the Employees Performance Appraisal Department; and the Victims Affairs Office. The second building houses the Decision-Making Support Center; the Leadership Development and Creativity Center; the Customer Service Department; the Child Protection Center; the Benchmarking Database Center; the Control and Discipline section, as well as a theater that can seat up to four hundred individuals. The third building is dedicated to the Human Resources Directorate General, represented by the Training, Education, Selection and Recruitment Departments.
The complex also includes two multi-storey car parking building, with a capacity for 272 cars, in addition to other parking spaces in the complex’s yard. Moreover, a housing unit is currently under construction, to accommodate officers at the complex, which provides police services for both police staff and members of the public under one roof.
The buildings were designed according to the highest international standards, under the supervision of the Engineering Projects Administration at Abu Dhabi Police, which consists of highly-qualified national cadres of engineers. The project was achieved on time and at the lowest cost.
The ceremony was attended by Lt. General Saif Abdullah Al Sha’far, Undersecretary at the Ministry of Interior; Lieutenant General Dahi Khalfan Tamim, Chief of the Dubai Police; Major General Staff Obeid Al Hiri Salim Al Kutbi, deputy commander-in-chief of Abu Dhabi Police; Major General Nasser Lakhrebani Al Nuaimi, Secretary General of the Office of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior; Major General Khalifa Hareb Al Khaili, Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of the Interior for Resources and Support Services. Also attending were Major General Khalil Dawood Badran, Director General of Finance and Services; Major General Mohammed bin Al Awadhi Al Menhali, Director General of Human Resources; and Major General Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, Director General of Central Operations at Abu Dhabi Police GHQ; along with a number of senior officers from the Ministry of Interior and Abu Dhabi Police.
In his address at the inauguration ceremony, Major General Khalil Dawood Badran, Director General of Finance and Services at Abu Dhabi Police, indicated that housing all public-related services under one roof facilitates rapid completion of all procedures for the public. This embodies the Abu Dhabi Police strategy, which prioritizes community participation and dedication to achieve customer satisfaction with all policing functions and duties.
Major General Badran emphasized the Abu Dhabi Police’s keenness to provide advanced cutting-edge services, and to keep pace with all developments in this area. This comes in line with the directives of Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, to always keep abreast of modern developments and implement the best standards, in both engineering and service projects, so as to promote police work.
Moreover, Badran said: “Implementing the project reflected the desired objectives and was in line with the requirements of the times. It provides the proper environment for employees and motivates them to achieve further innovation and excellence”.
