SAAED’s awareness traffic guide in a simplified way
SAAED for Traffic Systems continues its community awareness programs, and releases a new guide titled “SAAED traffic whispers”, in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Police’s Traffic and Patrols Directorate. The new release comes after the overwhelming success of SAAED traffic guide titled “black points violations” which was widely welcomed by all society sectors.
The eight- chapter guide presents an advanced traffic approach using caricature drawings. This is helpful to address all society members, children and adults, in a simplified and nice way, and enable them to abide by traffic rules.
Traffic accidents are a nightmare for all, and one of the major causes of losing financial and human resources. They create social and psychological problems and result into huge physical losses. It is, thus, obligatory on us to look for solutions and proposals, and try to put them into effect to reduce these accidents or at least mitigate their negative impacts, said Colonel engineer Hussein Ahmed Al Harithi, director of Abu Dhabi Police’s Traffic and Patrols Directorate and board director of SAAED traffic systems.
He said that first chapter of the book covers traffic safety tips, while the second chapter focuses on the importance of wearing seat belt. The third chapter addresses speed which could be fatal if traffic rules are not strictly adhered to. The fourth chapter focuses on jumping traffic light, and the huge risk resulting from this dangerous behavior. Under the title of “rescue” the fifth chapter sheds light on medical awareness and the right steps taken for rescuing road accidents victims. The relation with the traffic officer is addressed in the sixth chapter. The seventh chapter “SAAED traffic whispers” includes awareness statements made in a simplified and nice way to reach everyone regardless of age. The last chapter - “remember” comprises a number of awareness traffic phrases which help drivers abide by traffic rules and avoid accidents.
He added that the guide book, whose contents have been carefully selected="true", is suitable for all age groups, so that we are able to create a refined society where everyone lives safely. He also said: a team led by Mariyam Al Ahmedi, Executive Manager of SAAED public relations and customer service has been assigned to organize visits to the universities, public utilities, and civil society organizations in order to hold joint programs and promote the guide book in cooperation with relevant agencies.
