Ports Security Institute launches Training on civil aviation security
Abu Dhabi Police GHQ, represented by the Ports and Airports Security Training Institute started new areas of training in civil aviation security inside and outside UAE.
Colonel Khamis Musabbah Al Marar, director of Ports and Airports Security Police explained that the Institute has completed preparations to deliver training scholarship to the General Authority for Civil Aviation, during 2011-2013, in order to develop the capabilities of civil aviation personnel.
For his part, Saif Al Suwaidi, director general of the Authority praised the Abu Dhabi Police initiative maintain effective communication with external partners.
“Abu Dhabi Police approach to deal with all society segments and deliver social, humanitarian and security services emphasize its vision towards the future and shows its interest in being a model in the love of homeland, said Al Suwaidi who led a delegation and visited Ports and Airports Security Police Department on Monday.
As part of the visit, Ports and Airports Security Police Department has honored Mohammed Bader Al Hashem and Wafa Al Obaidly, both Emiratis and working at the General Authority for Civil Aviation. Al Hashemi awarded certification as EU authorized aviation security auditor, while Wafa was awarded certification as ICAO authorized female aviation auditor.
“This great achievement confirms that UAE youth are able to be innovative and outstanding”, said Al Marar during the honoring ceremony. “Those two models represent a good example for others to follow, he added.
In a visit to the Ports and Airports Security Training Institute, Al Suwaidi was briefed on the preparations for the training courses and lectures which the Institute holds.
