Major General Al Minhali visits RAK Residency Department
Major general Nasser Al Awadhi Al Minhali, MoI Assistant Undersecretary for Naturalization, Residency and Outlets Affairs, paid a visit to the Directorate General of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Ras Al Khaima (RAK) to review work procedure progress and daily works, on Monday.
Al Minhali held a meeting with Colonel Sultan al Nuaimi, Director General of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in RAK and directors of departments. He was briefed during the meeting on work progress, daily tasks, procedures followed by Departments. He was also briefed on the systems in use and their integration with MoI Unified database. He directed that appropriate solutions to be worked out and all problems faced by customers should be solved. He also urged for cooperation with other parties to promote the work.
Al Minhali extended to the present MoI high leadership vision and urged them to join and participate in Sheikh Khalifa programme of Government Excellence, and to work very hard for getting the award of institutional excellence at the country level. The aim of the award was to boost the federal government institutions role in serving all community categories, through dissemination of the concepts and bases of total quality management and institutional excellence.
He lauded police leadership efforts in supporting human cadres and transparency in work. He urged all to face the challenges of the coming period, affirming that getting the first places of Excellence in Government Performance did not come from a vacuum, but through the directives of police leadership, hard work and cooperation between us.
Al Minhali was accompanied during his visit by Brigadier Ghareeb Al Hosani, Director General of Outlets and Airports, Colonel Saeed bin Rakan Al Rashdi, Director of Violators and Foreigners Follow up, Colonel Yusuf Khoori, Director of peripheral Offices in Abu Dhabi and a number of MoI officers.
Al Minhali started his visit to Passports Section at RAK International Airport, where he was received by Colonel Sultan Al Nuaimi, Director General of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in RAK and a number of the Department officers.
He visited Emirates E-gate Office and reviewed the progress of work there. He was briefed by the airport officer on passengers' movements and all achievements of the "Section".
Al Minhali directed that the federal and local authorities' requirements should run parallel to each other, in terms of delivery of facilities to passengers with the public interest on top.
He paid a visit to the Passports Office at the Ministry of Labor in RAK. He reviewed the progress of work and its accuracy, and implementation of regulations. Then he visited the Passports Office of Al Dara Border Checkpoint between the UAE and the Sultanate of Oman. He witnessed a processing of transactions and the time they take. He listened to the Office needs for easy flow of work and performance of tasks and duties. He promised to submit all requests for action by authorities concerned. He was briefed on the systems shortcomings. He directed that any security gaps, if any, should be filled efficiently and accurately.
Then he visited the Passports Section in Saqr Sea Port. He reviewed work progress, passengers search and scanning, and systems in use there. He called for accuracy in work and implementation of procedures and controls without leniency
