Issue of good conducts certificates online through ID card
ADP has announced that all ID card holders can get the Certificate of No Criminal Conviction (Good Conduct Certificate) online, through its web site (www.adpolice.gov.ae) and Abu Dhabi Government Gate (www.abudhabi.ae). The applicant can get the certificate at the nearest Police Station, whether in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain or the western region.
Captain (Expert) Sultan Ahmed al Teneiji, Head of Fingerprint Section at ADP Department of Forensic Evidence, said “This step is part of ADP strategy to simplify the procedures of issuing the good conduct certificate. If the application meets all requirements (Information and documents), the certificate can be issued within a short time”. Thus we can deliver distinguished service to all community segments.
“This step is part of the efforts to link the Unified criminal System between all Police Departments, in order to facilitate the quick processing of such services. Now prints can be matched with two million and six hundred thousand prints electronically stored. The aim of linking the system is to save time and effort of customers”, added Al Teneiji.
Regarding application for the services, he said “The applicant can complete and send the application form. A resident should furnish his passport or ID card copy and personal photo. The national should furnish his ID card copy only. Then all verification procedures will be carried out and the certificate will be issued accordingly”.
“When the concerned section receives these applications, the applicant will get an SMS on his mobile notifying him of the receipt of his application. When the concerned Section finishes the procedures of certificate issuance, the applicant will receive a SMS on his mobile to report to the nearest police station to take his certificate”, added al Teneiji.
‘The certificate is issued in Arabic or English according to the applicant request. It will be delivered after one day from the date on which the application is submitted. Urgent certificate can be delivered on the same day against additional fees. Applicant can pay additional amount to have the certificate translated. The customer can enquire about his application; give his suggestions or complaints online.
“Applicants who lived for some time in the country and now are living abroad, can make use of this service, through providing finger prints sheet duly approved by the UAE embassy and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country where the applicant lives. He should also attach the required documents, including a photocopy of the passport and the residency stamp page; send the application to ADP GHQ post office box: 253. The applicant should write his address in the application, two photos and fees of Dh20 for each transaction”, added Al; Teneiji.
“There are 11 Police stations which receive good conduct certificate applications at Abu Dhabi emirate level. (7) of these are in Abu Dhabi, (1) in al Ain and (3) in the western Region. Issue these certificates was restricted to ADP GHQ only in the past”, added Al Teneiji.
