Global fire alarm system invented by one of ADP technicians
ADP in collaboration with one of its personnel has applied for a patent on an invention which is a Radio Fire Alarm under the name "Safe 999". It is a multi-purpose device to protect lives and properties.
Lt. Colonel Nasser Suleiman Al Maskari, Head of Central Operations Section at ADP and Director of the Development of Disasters and Crises Management Control Rooms Initiative, said "ADP now is in the process of launching the “Safe 999” device, which is the first of its kind in the world. It will be sold in local markets after registration with the Department of Industrial Ownership at the Ministry of Economy and given a special registration number, as a device invented inside the country. After the issuance of global patent, ADP can sell it abroad".
The project has been executed under technical supervision of Osama Ahmed Ismaeel, a Communications Technician and inventor of the system. The fire alarm systems will be linked with "safe 999" device. The system consists of a linking unit, electronic launch and radio. The report reaches the Central Operations Room by radio. The signal is received by the Civil Defence Working Station officer on a “Storm Device” which is provided with a Geographical Information System (GIS) to inform relevant patrols about the site of a fire. It also identifies the nature of the fire, eg, wood, papers, chemicals, firearms etc, in accordance with registered activity of the establishment.
The system operates with utmost accuracy. In the past the reporter of the fire incident found difficulty in locating the place of the incident where the damage and losses caused by the fire would increase. But with new system lives and properties can be saved due to quick arrival to the site of incident.
The system can be linked with any radio network and with all alarm systems. The system contains special electronic controls for further accuracy. The system can be given orders by radio to activate sprinklers until the arrival of civil defence teams. The system consists of two sets of components, if one is broken down the other is automatically activated.
Osama has lauded the great encouragement support given to him by ADP GHQ which assisted him in achieving his project.
