Abu Dhabi police have launched mini bike patrols in the city to assure social order and maintain contact with the public as part of the community policing initiative Operational test have been already carried out in corniche.
Major General Mohammed bin Al Awadi, acting director general of the police operations at Abu Dhabi police said that the move comes to enhance effective contact with the public and to help them solve their problems.
The bike patrols are attached to the community policing department of the Abu Dhabi police. This initiative reflects the modern face of the Abu Dhabi police which is proactive in building better relations with the general public, prevent crimes and ensure social security added Al Minhali.
