Abu Dhabi Police present jubilee coin as a gift to GCC stamp exhibition

Abu Dhabi Police GHQ honored participants in the 17th GCC Stamp Exhibition which concluded recently at Marine Mall in Abu Dhabi.

Abu Dhabi Police, the diamond sponsor, presented the  sliver coin, issued in the occasion  of  the Abu Dhabi Police golden jubilee celebrations held in 2007, as a gift to philatelic associations in GCC countries.

Giving this coin comes in recognition of the efforts of stamp collectors who let people know of rare stamps and money papers, said Major general Khalil Dawood Badran, director general of Finance and Services at Abu Dhabi police.

He explained that the front side of the coin, which weights 40 grams, bears the picture of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan President of UAE, while the back side of the coin bears the logo of the golden jubilee for Abu Dhabi Police.

The coin was presented by Lt. Colonel Saif Al Shamesi, chief of hotel, social and cultural activities section at Abu Dhabi Police to the representatives of GCC philatelic associations.

The UAE Central Bank has issued 1000 editions of the fifty-dirham coin, in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of Abu Dhabi Police foundation.

The honored individuals expressed apperception for Abu Dhabi Police and felt proud of having this unique coin.
