The General Headquarters of Abu Dhabi Police, represented by the Department of Information Technology and Telecommunications at the Directorate General of Central Operations, recently, launched new technical support services online e-service titled “Sanad” , to enhance the work of employees at the Abu Dhabi Police.
Besides its contribution to supporting the Abu Dhabi Police electronic intranet services, the newly-lunched service helps facilitate and strengthen the work of the system users who will be able to submitting and receiving any report regarding technical failures, as well as sending orders e to the different stakeholders.
This came during an awareness lecture, organized at the headquarters of the General Headquarters of Abu Dhabi Police, attended by Major General Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, Director General of Central Operations at Abu Dhabi Police, Brigadier Ismaeel Al Sirakal, Deputy Director General of Central Operations, Colonel Anwar Al Mulla, Director of Information Technology and Telecommunications, and Lt. Col. Mohammed Abdullah Al Zaabi, Deputy Director of the Department of Information Technology and Telecommunications, and a number of officers and personnel and civilians working at the General Headquarters of Abu Dhabi Police.
The lecture was delivered by Captain Mohammed Al Obaidly, Branch Manager of Studies and Technical Affairs at the Information and Telecommunications of Abu Dhabi Police.
He briefed the audience on the new services in terms of its objectives, advantages and ways to use it.
For her part, Lt. Badria Al Saadi, Director of the Sanad service project has made a presentation about the system which is designed in an easy manner, taking into account the needs of system’s users who can access it, either in Arabic or English.
Captain Al Obaidly described the access to the service as easy and can be made directly through the Abu Dhabi Police intranet. The user can write the word SAND on the URL link and have direct access to the system. The personal page which consists of a range of options such as failure reports, requests for ink, applications follow-up, technical requests, suggestions and complaints, will appear
He added: The Page on failure reports is the page on which the user can enter the details of failures he/she encounters. As soon entry is made, the user is requested to type his/her rank and name. To make it easier, the system requests that the users enter their code numbers and geographic locations in which they operate before the main classification of the failure is determined, for example, "systems failures".
He continued: Once the main classification is selected, the system displays all networks failures, then identifies the sub-classification of the failure, and then requests users to click on the icon “Send”. Once the failure report is sent, the user receives a text message to his/her mobile phone number to inform him/her of the success of the registration process.
The system is designed so that it can record all information of the equipment and devices, to facilitate and follow up the details of the transactions that are made through "SANAD Service”, using the window “Tool”.
At the end of the lecture, attended by a big number of officers, personnel and civilians working in Abu Dhabi Police, Captain Mohammed Al Obaidly and Lt. Badria Al Saadi answered the inquires raised by the audience.
