The Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters, represented in Medical Services Department, won the Silver Award in the Marketing Effectiveness Award (MEA) category under the Summit International Awards (SIA).
Major General Khalil Dawood Badran, Director General of Finance and Services at Abu Dhabi Police said: “The Medical Services Department’s achievement reflects the support and the continuous care provided by Lt. General His Highness Sheikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior, within all police sectors, especially with regard to medical care for police personnel. This support has allowed the Medical Services Department to offer an advanced level of services, improve its technical and practical performance, deliver the best diagnostic and therapeutic means, extend healthcare to police personnel, contract with specialists and highly qualified professionals in all medical specialties, and develop staff capabilities by offering them scholarships, which allows them to obtain the necessary scientific expertise in all fields.”
Dr. Ayman Mohammed Fahim, Osteologist at the Medical Services Department at the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters and General Coordinator of Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Conference for the treatment of bone diseases and injuries said: “The Medical Services Department at the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters’ win of the Silver Award is a significant achievement for the department and is a prestigious medical award on the international level.”
“The Medical Services Department won the Silver Award in the MEA category in the SIA due to its efforts in providing the best medical services, represented by the ‘Ultrasound Conference’ that was launched by the department in 2009. The sixth edition of the conference will take place next December in which a total of 282 specialists in osteology, both doctors and technicians from inside and outside the country, will participate in the conference,” he said.
He added that the conference served as the marketing interface for the activities of the Medical Services Department at the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters, pointing out that the Marketing Effectiveness Award is an international marketing platform for the institution. “This is what the Medical Services Department sought to achieve through the Ultrasound Conference. The conference includes an academic part and a practical part hosting the world’s best training experts,” he continued.
