The Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters has accomplished the activation of the online arrest system at all police divisions, stations, and Departments of Naturalization and Residency in the emirate of Abu Dhabi; the system will be extended later on to northern emirates. Arrested individuals will be received only on online basis.

Director General of the Abu Dhabi Police Central Operations, Major General Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, said that the standardized criminal security system at the Abu Dhabi Police is considered to be one of the best of its kind in the world.

Major General Al Raisi praised the designated team that participated in developing and activating this system; he said: “The team worked diligently since 2011 to activate and implement this criminal security system’s display screens in different regulative units under the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters. The team also participated in setting up working plans and suggestions for the system during its different implementation phases, which had a significant role in developing and updating the system to meet the needs and developments of the work practices at the regulative units that benefit from the system.”

Major General Al Raisi spoke at the event held to honor the task team, which was attended by Brigadier General Ismail Al Sirkal, Deputy Director General of Abu Dhabi Police Central Operations; Colonel Anwar Al Mulla, ICT Director; and Lieutenant Colonel Muhammad Abdullah Al Zaabi, ICT Deputy Director.

Major General Al Raisi granted the team members honor certificates and memorial prizes. The manager and the members of the team expressed their pride in the confidence the police commandment has granted them for developing the standardized criminal security system.

They also commended the cooperation of all entities within the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters that played a role in successfully achieving their mission.

Major Talal Abdurrahim Al-Ahmad, Team Manager said that the standardized system achieved speed and accuracy in dealing with data and following up legal procedures.

He also referred to the positive effects of the cooperation among teams working on the standardized criminal security system at the police headquarters to bring success and activate the system on a nationwide level. He said, “After the significant success achieved by the teams of the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters and Dubai Police General Headquarters, they extended their expertise to other police headquarters in the northern emirates through setting up a number of training courses and workshops.”

The team members stressed the importance of this achievement. Lieutenant Ali Hassan Al Bulooshi referred to the excellence of the database at the Ministry of Interior in terms of receiving the emergency reports online and implementing laws; he said, “After this remarkable success witnessed by the system in Abu Dhabi, it was activated and implemented in other emirates.”

Yusri Al Shirbini said that the activation of the new system is one of the distinguished initiatives that the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters seeks to activate in line with the efforts made to augment the work levels to meet international best standards.

Warrant Officer Ali Hamdan Al Khuzaimi said that the team is continuously working to develop and enhance the system, deliver technical support for its users, and find convenient and instant solutions to improve the systems.

Linda Khaled Al Hassan said that during the different phases of activation and implementation, the standardized criminal security system’s team worked to train users with all available means, and made efforts
