intends to open new service centers in Abu Dhabi Emirate
The Department of vehicles and Drivers Licensing at ADP will soon open new centers to serve customers in some areas of Abu Dhabi Emirate. This has been announced by Lt. Colonel Suhail Al Kheeli, Head of Vehicles Licensing Section, where he has added “The expansion of residential areas and increase of population requires availability of police services and easy access to such services”.
At present there are 42 service centers in the Emirate. They all follow the system of the comprehensive employee to finalize all transactions.
224032 persons applied for driving licenses over the past nine months, against 347896 applicants last year. The total number of vehicles in Abu Dhabi Emirate until last September was 728900.
The building of Driving Learning and Testing Committees Branch was shifted to the building of Emirates’ Driving Learning Company in Mussafah to assimilate the increase in customers, to raise safety levels for trainees and to avoid congestions on internal roads created by driving schools vehicles. Now applicants can complete all driving license requirements at one place. All application procedures are carried out at the company building.
Applicants for test are received from 07:30 to 09:30 hours. Then applicants for driving licenses are received after that time. The methods and curricula adopted by the Emirates Driving Learning Company parallel best global quality standards. There is close cooperation between the Company and ADP in boosting traffic safety and dissemination of its culture.
Numbers of applicants have affirmed that the shifting of Testing Committees Branch to the premises of the Company has made their task easier. One lady also said “She has completed her application formalities in Mussafah very easily”
