Major Rashed Hamdan Al Naqbi, Acting Head of Al Ghuifat Exit Police Station affirmed that the requirements of travelers are being met and their travel procedures are being rapidly executed at the exit, adding that the readiness levels at the exit have been elevated to the highest levels to complete transactions of travelers.
He said that all authorities at the exit are working within a comprehensive system in which they cooperate and coordinate their efforts in order to provide the best security, humanitarian and logistic services, noting that the numbers of travelers are increasing during the summer months and other occasions.
He also mentioned that the exit is working at full capacity since the beginning of the vacation season and the Holy Month of Ramadan, as the traffic has increased with travelers going abroad for their vacations and returning, and the movement of visitors to Mecca for the Umra Islamic ritual. He referred to the increase in visitors coming from neighboring countries who want to spend their vacations and shop in the UAE, besides the movements of trucks in line with the trade traffic between the UAE and its neighbors.
Al Naqni noted that the exit is fully equipped with entrance and exit halls that provide comfort to travelers before they continue their trip to their countries or inside the UAE. He said that passport check cabins were activated to eliminate any traffic jams as travel procedures hardly consume five minutes of time, adding that there are public amenities, ambulance units, medical staff, civil defense, and safety and emergency teams along with police staff that organize and follow up any problems facing travelers solving them immediately.
He said that the exit uses the latest technological devices in terms of security, passports or inspection, in addition to modern electronic gates.
Al Naqbi noted that the work continues at the same quick pace throughout the day in order to complete the procedures at the earliest, in implementation of the strategies and visions of the Abu Dhabi Police and the Ministry of Interior to provide the best services and achieve the highest level of satisfaction from travelers.
