The Western Region Police Directorate of Abu Dhabi Police GHQ urged visitors and participants at Al Dhafra Festival for Camel Mazayna, to communicate with Police entities present at the Festival site; to get acquainted with the public services it provides to visitors and participants, to solve any problems they may encounter on the site.
Colonel Ojeil Ali Abdullah Al Junaibi, Director of the Western Region Police stressed that the Directorate and various police entities operating in the region, has always been committed to participate in all activities organized in the Western region. This aims to communicate and establish closer relations with members of the public; to identify their needs and define what they expect from security and services entities, who aim to serve all sectors and segments of society, and gain their confidence.
“Being present at such events is a strategy that we are keen to adopt at all public events”, he stated; pointing out that the country's heritage is a source of pride for all, and it is everyone’s duty to maintain it.
He explained that police presence at the Festival include technical and logistical services at all times; in addition to the security services that the police bodies seek to provide, to maintain the safety of the Festival’s participants and attendees.
Furthermore, he underscored the important role of the awareness and marketing teams that communicate with members of the public, to acquaint them with the police role and services provided on site and how to benefit from them; as well as collect complaints and suggestions from the public, to submit them to the relevant authorities.
He added: “The Directorate, through awareness brochures, booklets, and leaflets, strives to educate the public on the need to cooperate with police entities, and the various risks they may encounter on site, as well as means to overcome such risks by contacting the police”.
“On the social level, the Directorate interacts with the public through the children’s village, by organizing contests for children and distributing commemorative gifts. This embodies our attention to younger generations, as we seek to acquaint them with the role of police, and leave a positive impression on them,” he continued.
Concluding, Colonel Al Junaibi urged the public to cooperate fully with the police and security entities, and facilitate their tasks by complying with the law, which is designed for the safety and security of society and property. He also expressed his appreciation for all partners and their constant readiness, which reflects positively on the event and contributes to its success.
