The Abu Dhabi Police Correctional and Penal Institutions Department defined the visiting hours for inmates in the Al Ain, Al Wathba, and Al Mafraq juvenile welfare institution.
The morning visiting hours in Al Ain and Al Wathba are from 8 AM to 2 PM for all days of the week, except Friday; the visiting house are from 8 AM to 12 PM.
The evening visiting hours are on Friday, Saturday, and Monday from 3 PM to 5 PM.
The visiting hours defined for the juvenile welfare institutions in Al Mafraq are from 8 AM to 2 PM on Friday, Saturday, and Monday, and from 8 AM to 12 PM on Friday. The evening visiting hours are from 3 PM to 5 PM.
Colonel Mohammed Saif Matar Al Zuabi, Director of Correctional and Penal Institutions Department clarified that the visits will be specified on Sunday for personnel who carry public persecution permission to visit male and female inmates, and on Monday for women to visit male and female inmates.
Tuesday will be specified for lawyers to visit inmates of both sexes, Wednesday for diplomatic visitors (embassies) to visit inmates of both sexes, Thursday for male visitors to visit female inmates, Friday for foreign male visitors to visit male inmates, Saturday for Arab visitors to visit male inmates in Al Ain and Al Wathba.
Colonel Al Zuabi added: “The visit to Al Mafraq juvenile welfare institution will be on Friday of every week for foreign male visitors to visit male and female juveniles; Saturday will be for Arab male visitors to visit male and female juveniles; and Monday for female visitors to visit male and female juveniles.”
Al Zuabi reasserted Abu Dhabi Police keenness on the communication between the inmates and their families and relatives in times that are suitable for both sides and accomplish the target. He pointed out that the directorate ensures to provide a suitable atmosphere for inmates and visitors under the initiative called “Salamatak” launched by Abu Dhabi Police, where visitors will be transferred from the Department’s gate to the visiting place in environment-friendly cars that work on electricity.
