Special plane to fly MoI staff and their families to perform Umra

 

By a gesture from HH General Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and follow up of HH Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, a special plane carrying 385 of MoI staff and their families arrived at King Abdul Aziz Airport in Jeddah to perform Ramadan Umra.

Members of MoI mission were received at the Airport VIP Lounge by Ahmed Mohammad Al Mangoosh, Emirates Consul to Jeddah, Major General Jazaa Al Amri, Director of Holy Mecca Police and Brigadier Ali bin Hamad, Director of Public Relations at Mecca Area Police.

Brigadier Hamad Adeel Al Shamsi, Chairman of MoI Hajj and Umra Permanent Committee said "This gesture represents the attention that Their Highnesses pay to MoI employees in enabling them to perform Ramadan Umra".

Al Shamsi has affirmed that the Permanent Committee has finalized all necessary administrative procedures in order to provide a distinguished service to Umra performers. These services include a medical team from ADP Medical Services to look after their health during Umra, male and female religious preachers from MoI to teach them how to perform Umra rituals in addition to full administrative supervision by the members of the Committee.

Umra journey will take nine days. From Mecca then they go to Al Madina Al Munawara. The Permanent Committee has prepared a programme for them to visit the holy sites in Mecca and Al Madina

The participants have appreciated HH gesture of providing a special plane to fly them and their families to perform Umra, which is not new to HH who always assists MoI employees. They have thanked HH for his gracious gesture and his continuous support to MoI employees.
