Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior met in his office, First Lieutenant Sheikh Ahmed bin Nasser bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who obtained a Master’s degree in Police and Security Sciences from Leicester University in the United Kingdom.
His Highness was briefed on the thesis’ goals and its importance in improving the quality of work in the police institution. The goals include risk, security and police work management; the global issues and their impact on local communities; as well as the main security challenges facing police bodies in the world, and international cooperation to confront them to enhance international security and stability.
Moreover, His Highness listened to First Lieutenant Sheikh Ahmed bin Nasser’s briefing on the results of his thesis, which was prepared as per the scientific research method in investigation and comparison.
His Highness, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior emphasized the higher leadership’s support to all national staff seeking academic attainment at the various local and international educational institutions; as well as meeting their higher education requirements, and providing them with the necessary resources to achieve scientific and academic excellence.
Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior congratulated First Lieutenant Sheikh Ahmed bin Nasser Al Nahyan on attaining this prestigious achievement, calling on him to pursue further educational attainment and excellence.
The thesis underscored the need to strengthen joint coordination between all security services, as well as engage in an open dialogue with local communities and involve them in the strategy to address security risks. It also stressed the importance of media participation to adopt a mature informational message, and writing objective press reports that reflect its social and national mission; in addition to building a strategic relationship between the media and security institutions.
The meeting was attended by Major General Nasser Lakhrebani Al Nuaimi, Secretary General of the Office of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior; Brigadier Ali Khalfan Al Dhaheri, Director - General of the Headquarters Affairs at Abu Dhabi Police; and Colonel Saud Al Saadi, Director of the Secretariat of His Highness the Minister of Interior.
