Saif bin Zayed honors supporters of Al Faraj Fund
Lt. General H.H Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minster and Minster of Interior honored the supporters of Al Faraj Relief Fund including various institutions, sectors and individuals.
Sheikh Saif affirmed the importance of cooperation and humanitarian work in achieving the noble goals of the Fund which provides care and support to the insolvent inmates at the correctional and punitive facilities.
“It is not strange that our people and our national institutions answer the call of duty and lend a hand to this category of afflicted persons. It is the trend of goodness and offering in which we all believe in this honorable land”, said Sheikh Saif.
Sheikh Saif called on benevolent people to take part in alleviating burdens of those on debt and those who are required to pay Diyyah “blood money” so that they are able to return to normal lives.
Honoring included Sami Al Riyami, editor-in chief of Emirates Today, Abdul Razzaq Al Abdullah, CEO of Dubai Islamic Humanitarian Foundation, Obeid Hamad Dhibyan, CEO of Emirates Advanced Investment Foundation, Nasser bin Oboud, CEO of Etisalat and Mohsen Mohammed Al Faqeeh, a benevolent man.
Present at the honoring ceremony were Lt. General Saif Abdullah Al Sha’far, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, Major General staff Khalifa Harib Al Khaili, Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Resources and Support Services, Major General Khalil Dawood Badran, Director General of Finance and Services, Major General Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, Director General of Police Operations, Brigadier Ali Khalfan Al Dhaheri, director general of the Headquarters Affairs at Abu Dhabi Police, Brigadier, Hamad Adeel Al Shamesi, Director General of Correctional and Punitive Facilities at the Ministry of Interior, Brigadier Ahmed Mohammed Nehkairh, Director of Human Rights Department, Colonel Mohammed Saif Al Zaabi, Director of Correctional and Punitive Facilities at Abu Dhabi Police, Colonel Ahmed Saeed Al Badi, Director of Al Faraj Fund and a number of senior police officers.
