Colonel Ahmed Al Hantoubi, Director of Private Security Companies Department in the Ministry of Interior, at the Abu Dhabi Police Officers’ Club inaugurated the e-portal for private security companies for the department. The e-portal is anticipated to bring convenience to clients in line with its endeavor to provide services that keep pace with the latest requirements of quality and sustainable development of all private security companies working in the UAE. Receiving applications for authorizations related to security guards will begin through the new portal starting from 23 July.
The ceremony was attended by Major Ahmed Saleh Al Qatba, Head of the Authorizations Section in the Department, alongside a number of directors and representatives of private securities in Abu Dhabi.
Eng. Khaldoun Al Nabhani from the e-Systems Development Section in the Abu Dhabi Police gave a presentation on the e-portal services comprising of five modules of service provided in its first soft launch in which the system will be developed during the second stage of the portal project, to be included in the Abu Dhabi Police website. Al Nabhani noted that some services will be provided by the portal such as inquiries about the guards’ information, inquiries on authorizations applications and renewals, and entering applications related to security companies, in addition to a number of other procedures.
He stressed the importance of confirming all the information while entering data to avoid the double collection of fees in case the application was refused.
Al Qutba explained that payments will be carried out manually during the soft phase, and later on by the e-Dirham.
The legal consultant in the Private Security Department stressed the importance of checking the information provided in papers to avoid fines and legal consequences.
The launch of the portal witnessed wide interaction from audiences through their inquiries about all aspects related to security companies, the papers required for authorization applications, the possibility of transferring licenses from one emirate to another, success and failure data, and the telephone numbers through which clients can inquire about license issuing and renewals.
