Olympic shooting championship to kick  off in Al Ain

Under the patronage of Lt. General H.H Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minster of Interior, the second Olympic Shooting Championship has begun on Monday, which is organized by the Police Sport Federation.

Al Nakheel Resort in Al Ain is hosing the 4-day event in which 108 police officers, both male and female, are taking part.

A team representing the Ministry of Interior in the international championships will be chosen from the best players taking part in this sport event.

The organizing committee is headed by Advisor Abdullah Salim Al Ameri, chairman of the Police Sport Federation and the membership of Colonel Abdulmalik Jani, Lt. Colonel Aref Ali Obeid and Saif Al Shamesi, director of Shooting Club in Al Ain Equestrian Club.

According to Colonel Jani, the championship comprises two competitions, central rifle. “22” and air compressed rifle.

“The first day is dedicated for female players”, added Jani.
