The Ministry of Interior is participating in the 31st International Arab Children Congress hosted by Abu Dhabi under the patronage and presence of Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Supreme Chairperson of the Family Development Foundation, President of UAE Women’s General Union and Chairwoman of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood.
Meeting under the theme, ‘Sustainable Development is the Responsibility of All’, the conference is headed by Queen Noor Al Hussein, Founder and Chairwoman of Board of Trustees of King Hussein Foundation in the Kingdom of Jordan.
Major general Obeid Al Hiri Al Kutbi, Deputy Commander General of Abu Dhabi Police, and member of the Board of Trustees of Family Development Foundation and a number of police officers have attended the opening ceremony.
The participation of the ministry of interior is part of its contributions as one of the government bodies which support childhood in the UAE, said director of MoI Child Protection Center and member of the Congress organizing committee, Lt Colonel Faisal Al Shammari.
In addition to presenting a work paper on the green information technologies, the ministry of interior has participated in the congress with various police units including community police, medical services, and ambulance, added Al Shammari.
This the first time the congress is held outside Jordan since it was initiated in 1980, which indicated the big trust placed in the UAE capabilities ,and the care of Mother of the Nation Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak she shows to children not only in the UAE but also in the Arab and global levels.
