Under the auspices of Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, HH Sheikh Hamdan Bin Khalifa Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, Thursday, inaugurated the activities of the Ministry of Interior village, held in Dubai Global Village, and will last for ten days, in the presence of Major General Mohamed Saif Al Zafeen Director General of Dubai Traffic. Department .
Sheikh Hamdan toured the different divisions of the village, which included the police departments and sections, and more than 30 police awareness events geared to different segments of society.
He was briefed on the exhibits, attended live demonstrations of some of the services provided by the ministry, and praised what he saw inside the village.
He said that organizing the MoI village this time in the global village will contribute to the consolidation of social values that the Ministry aims to disseminate among the public, praising the efforts that have been made in the preparation and organization of the village.
For his part, Major General Al Zafeen affirmed that organizing the MoI Village in Dubai comes as an embodiment of the strategy of the Ministry of Interior that is designed to enhance communication with various segments of society.
The activities include a variety of educative and entertainment programs, live shows, color bullet shooting, studio where kids are able to get their photos taken while in a police uniform, as well as organizing of prize contest, and distributing of publications covering awareness, security, preventive and traffic related issues.
The Village is organized as part of the Ministry of Interior’s strategy that aims at enhancing communication with the members of the public, gain their confidence, encourage them to cooperate with the police, and enlighten them with the services offered by the various departments of the Ministry of Interior.
In addition to its contribution to publishing the security culture and the community awareness of the services provided by the Ministry of Interior, the Village also gives visitors a chance to learn about the advanced and modern police equipments to be showcased at the different pavilions.
