As part of its participation at GITEX Technology Week 2012, Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters launched its Interactive Digital Display Screens service.
Major General Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, Director General of Central Operations at Abu Dhabi Police, explained that the service allows users to browse information about the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters, and to access services, advertisements and required programs with precision and high speed. Al Raisi pointed out that the interactive screens provide information on the vision, mission and objectives of Abu Dhabi Police.
Major General Al Raisi added: “The interactive screens contain information related to the various police departments and sections, as well as the services provided to the public. They also include advertising materials, orientation programs, and provide customers with interactive examples on how to submit proposals, so as to enhance work mechanisms.”
Al Raisi pointed out that this system will direct the public to the required service portal, noting that, applying this system to the various police stations and services of the Ministry of Interior is currently being discussed.
For his part, Lt. Colonel Faisal Mohammed Al Shammari, Information Security Officer at Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters stated that the police leadership is keen to communicate with its internal and external public, via the latest mechanisms and techniques. He noted that the Interactive Digital Screen service enhances communication and enables the public to identify the service or information in an interactive manner.
The first batch of these devices was provided for trial at the GITEX Technology Week exhibition, and was highly lauded by the public.
Moreover, First Lieutenant Mohammed Khamis Al Junaibi, Director of Design and Programming Division at the Information Technology and Telecommunications Department, noted that the Abu Dhabi Police seeks through these screens, to provide interactive services according to the best international practices.
Concluding, Al Junaibi added that these screens will be available at the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters and its service centers, in addition to some public places in the Emirate, in order to facilitate work and provide the best service to customers, according to the latest methods and advanced programs.
