The Traffic Investigation Section at ADP Directorate of Traffic and Patrols found 38 workshops at Mussafah Industrial Zone in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain City, repairing and painting damaged vehicles without permit from Traffic Sections or Saaed Company. The catch was within the framework of strict campaign to prevent any violations of law, in respect of repairs to vehicles damaged in accidents rules and allowing their rivers to evade the consequences of their mistakes.
Lt. Colonel Mohammad Dhahi, Head of Traffic Investigation Section said "The arrested people have been referred to prosecution for necessary legal action against them. He has urged workshops owners not to repair or repaint damaged vehicles without a permit from concerned authorities, so as to avoid being punished by the law, He has indicted that such campaigns will continue round the clock to nab violators".
"The aim of strict monitoring is to close all loopholes so that motorists who involve in traffic accidents, cause damage to private and public properties, can not evade legal responsibility for their mistakes", added Dhahi.
Captain Talib Mohammad Al Amri, Director of Investigations Branch of Peripheral Areas has urged workshops owners to report drivers who come to their workshops for their vehicles repairing without proper permits. By doing this they assist policemen in detecting those who are involved in traffic accidents and run away.
The close monitoring process will continue round the clock at all industrial zones in Abu Dhabi Emirate. Repairing damaged vehicles without permit will hide the the evidences of traffic accidents and allows involved persons to escape punishment. Any workshop owner who carries out such repairs will get into trouble with the law.
In the same context Al Ain Traffic Investigations Branch has intensified monitoring workshops at Al Ain Industrial Zone round the clock to arrest any violators of the law.
