A total of 114 investigating officers from the various Comprehensive Police Stations got acquainted over the past two months, with tasks and functions of the Criminal Evidence Department at Abu Dhabi Police.
Colonel Abdul Rahman Al Hammadi, director of Abu Dhabi police Criminal Evidence Department, stated that the rapid development of the police and security work, particularly in the area of criminal evidence and their applications, state-of-the-art equipment and modern scientific systems; makes these visits an imperative requirement of joint security work.
He noted that criminal evidence science has recently witnessed significant scientific shifts worldwide; as Abu Dhabi Police was the pioneer in the region, to take advantage of this development.
Al Hammadi noted that the investigating officers are the most important security elements, whose work is associated with the tasks achieved at the Criminal Evidence department and vice versa. He considered that strengthening relations and activating practical communication among various police entities and criminal evidence are among our most important priorities.
Moreover, Al hammadi added: “The exchange of knowledge and access to the various police functions in different areas of specialization enhance fruitful cooperation which leads to reliable performance and professionalism in work, as well as participation in investigations, through understanding and recognizing the importance of criminal evidence.”
It is noteworthy that the Criminal Evidence Department has welcomed over the past two months, a number of investigating officers, who got acquainted, along other officers assigned with training courses on the tasks and duties of its various divisions and the high quality security services they provide and internationally avowed standards to get international recognition. These meetings addressed the various services related to criminal investigation and other common disciplines.
The officers commended this initiative aimed at acquainting them with the tasks of the Criminal Evidence Department; emphasizing that the visits benefitted them significantly and increased their confidence in the support this department brings to their investigations.
