Pupils of Sweihan Primary and Secondary School reviewed the "Best Traffic School” initiative in Al Ain, launched by the Traffic and Patrols Directorate as part of four community-based initiatives to improve traffic safety; these initiatives are implemented under the slogan "Community is a Traffic Cop.”

Colonel Hamad Nasser Al Baloushi, Director of External Roads Traffic Department at the Abu Dhabi Police Traffic and Patrols Directorate, said that the initiative is part of the Abu Dhabi Police program to limit traffic accidents under the slogan “Together,” pointing out that it aims to empower the role of the education sector.

Major Mohsen Saeed Al Mansouri, Chief of Al Ain Traffic and Patrol Division, said: “Organizing such field visits to pupils from different stages in school, enriches the continuous traffic education process and creates a bridge that actively connects traffic police and pupils, especially during their basic education, in order to deliver a comprehensive traffic ethos.”

Furthermore, Captain Rashid Mohammed Al Shamsi, Director of the Public Relations Branch said: “The division is always very keen to organize such visits to pupils in different stages at school in Al Ain. The awareness program organizers are committed to maintaining a continuous communication channel between traffic personnel and community members. Special focus is necessary for pupils as they represent the future. We should implant a healthy traffic culture in their minds from childhood, so they become qualified to implement and respect it when they reach adulthood.”
