Major General Mohammed bin Al Awadhi Al Menhali, Director General of Police Operations in Abu Dhabi Police, recently presided over the launching ceremony of the Emirates Women Police Association’s Website (www.ewpa.adpolice.gov.ae), which is regarded as the main communication channel among the female members of the Association.
After browsing the various sections, Al Awadhi praised the website’s role in providing service to the female members of the Emirates Women Police Association, through its contents which support the Association’s goals such as the quick communication process and providing proposals. The website also allows the members to stay up-to-date with the Emirates Women Police Association’s achievements thanks to the latest and modern techniques and the various links available.
First Lieutenant Amnah Khamis, Head of the Association, said: “The website is provided in two languages, Arabic and English, and was well received by members of women police’s Association. It includes several portals, the most important being the Association’s homepage. This page includes the targets, vision and message of the association, the subcommittees’ link, in addition to the various events and activities.”
She added: “There are sections for news, conventions, women police in GCC countries, in addition to a link to police colleges and a photo gallery. The website also includes links to social networks websites such as Facebook, Twitter and Youtube.”
She concluded by saying: “We hope that the website will become a main communication channel among the Association’s members, and wish that all female members in Emirates police benefit from this distinctive electronic service.”
