The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs and Ports in Dubai urges citizens and residents not to hesitate to report violators, or those who employ and shelter violators of the residency law. Citizens are requested to disclose violator’s whereabouts by contacting the free hotline service “Amer” 8005111.
The "Amer" service extends multiple connectivity options including: free phone, fax, e-mail, and e-chat ensuring easy receipt of information and complaints, suggestions and communications. The service handles all feedback confidentially.
The Ministry of Interior, represented by the Department of Violators Follow-Up and Foreign Affairs at the Office of Assistant Undersecretary for Naturalization Residency and Ports, launched a community information awareness campaign under the slogan: "No To Violators." The campaign aims to raise awareness about the importance of curbing residency violators and the need to report them.
General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General, General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs and Ports in Dubai, said that in the case of receiving a report or information about violators, the work is pursued by task forces established for this purpose.
He called upon the violators to seek the settlement of their situations, and work within the framework of respect for the laws enforced in the country.
He considered the campaign "No to Violators" as a step in the right direction addressing the issue of violators, to put an end to it; he praised all efforts in this regard.
Notably, the Security Media Department in the General Secretariat of the Office of H.H. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior is implementing the campaign in cooperation with the media (print and broadcast); the institutions of civil society and its members; and stakeholders to educate citizens and residents on the dangers of illegal residence.
