The Social Relations and Guidance Branch at the Community Police Department took part in the activities and events organized by the Emirates National School, at the Mohammed Bin Zayedcampus in Abu Dhabi, for children of grades KG1 and KG2. This participation highlights the attention devoted to educate students on societal concepts; in coordination with the Traffic and Patrols Directorate at Abu Dhabi Police.
Major YusefFarajAl Hassan, Head of Social Relations Branch, indicated that this participation comes in line with the social activities carried out by the Community Police Department, to educate community members on social values. It also aims to introduce the sense of security; instill the sense of national affiliation in students of early educational stages; and increase awareness on honesty, honor and patriotism.
The Community Police Department gave a number of educational presentations,provided by the famous media figure Jassem Obeid, who dressed up as a Teddy Bear. The Bear Mascot was warmly received by the children,who shared queries and happy moments with it.
For his part, Preacher Hassan al Dsoukigave an awareness lecture on Community Police and love for the Prophet Mohammed. He also provided students with tips and guidance on the proper ways to ride the car and the bus,and the importance of safety belts, through a practical demonstration given by the Traffic and Patrols Directorate. Moreover, Community Police members distributed the children's supplement of the 999 magazine during the event.
The school administration expressed its thanks and appreciation to the Community Police Department for the awareness and educational efforts it dedicated to the children.
