ADP Community Police Department trains its personnel how to use Tonfa Sticks
The ADP Department of Special Tasks has concluded a course on the use of Tonfa sticks and tears gas skills. 26 NCOs from the Community Police Department attended the course. The graduation ceremony was attended by Colonel Yusuf Ahmed Al Hosani, Deputy Director of Special Tasks and Lt. Colonel Mubarak bin Meheiroom, Director of Community Police were present during the ceremony.
Colonel Al Hosani congratulated the graduates and urged them to work hard to promote their performance to enhance security efforts and to maintain safety of citizens and residents.
Lt. Colonel Mubarak bin Meheiroom said “This course is in accordance with the directives of our high leadership which aim at maintenance of security and stability. It is also intended to develop work mechanisms of the Community Police personnel and to enhance their effective role in the community and assist them to perform their duties efficiently”.
The trainees learned during the two-week training course the skills of using the stick and tears gas. During graduation ceremony they demonstrated self-defense skills by use of the stick. There performance was much admired by the audience.
At the end of the ceremony Colonel Yusuf and Lt. Colonel Mubarak gave away certificate to the graduates, with their best wishes.
