The Al Ain Traffc and Patrol Division of the Abu Dhabi Police Traffic and Patrol Directorate developed a comprehensive traffic plan to ensure a smooth traffic flow during the festival to celebrate the victory of Al Ain Sports Club who grabbed the 10th football championship cup. The victory’s celebrations will be dedicated to His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE president, under the motto, “For the love of Khalifa”.
Major Salah Abdulla Rashid Al Hamiri, Acting Head of Al Ain Traffic and Patrol Department, said: “The plan includes intensifying traffic control on all roads leading to Tahnoon Ben Mohammed stadium at Al Qattara. Traffic control will also be intensified on the roads to be followed by the revelers’ vehicles, which will tour a number of Al Ain city roads, starting from the Al Qattara Stadium to Al Kharis roundabout, from Sheikh Mubarak roundabout westward to Carrefour roundabout, as well as Hammouda bin Ali roundabout, Bin Aziz roundabout and Al Ittihad roundabout.”
He urged Al Ainawi’s fans to park their cars in the allotted parking lots at the Al Qattara Stadium, follow the traffic police members’ instructions and express their joy for their team’s victory. He added that the police support civilized cheering and commitment to traffic laws and regulations.
Al Hamiri called on the revelers to comply with traffic safety procedures which include non-coloring of the front windshield of the cars or covering it with posters, not transporting a large number of people or standing on the roof, hood or the rear of the vehicle, sit on the windows of the car while it’s running or do any stunts on the roads which may disrupt traffic flow and hinder traffic, as well as other any other thing that may cause chaos and disturbance on the roads.
