MoI Delegation to Morocco to meet citizen's children born abroad
In response to the directives of the UAE Higher Leadership, as part of the follow up process of the UAE citizens whose children are born to foreign mothers and as a continuation of the concerned committee task, a delegation has left for Morocco Kingdom. The delegation is headed by Major General Nasser Al Awadhi Al Minhali, Acting Assistant Undersecretary for Naturalization, Residency and Ports affairs and Chairman of the Committee. The aim of the visit is to meet the children of the UAE nationals born abroad.
The Committee has prepared a special programme to enhance national identity for this category and has been submitted to HH Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior. HH accordingly has directed that the programme is to be implemented to ensure integration of these children in the UAE community and enhancement of their national identity.
This step is in response to the Ministerial Decision No. 282 of 2010. The committee consists of representatives from MoI, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Social Affairs. During this visit the Committee will finalize its works after it has studied the cases of 12 children born abroad to Emirati nationals.
