In a meeting held lately at the headquarters of Residency and Expatriates Affairs in Dubai, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, Lt General Saif Abdullah Al Sha’far was briefed on the heavy vehicles control protect prepared by the Dubai’s Transport and Road Authority ( TRA) in order to promote traffic safety on the roads.
The meeting was attended by Brigadier Ghaith Al Zaabi, director of traffic coordination at the Ministry of Interior, Ahmad Behroozian, CEO of the RTA’s Licensing Agency, Ahlam Al Feel, director of the Monitoring and Enforcement Department, and Abdullah Al Mahra, Director of the RTA’s heavy vehicles section.
In a presentation delivered by Behroozian, Al Sha’far has been fully enlightened about the project which aims to achieve transparency in procedures through technological applications, to develop methods of locating heavy vehicles by using remote tracking devices, to detect unsafe heave vehicles on the road, and to eliminate their defects. In addition to improving road safety and reducing mechanical faults by using smart ways, and providing database for vehicles safety.
