Abu Dhabi Police’s Operations Room announced the commencement of work at a distinguished laboratory, which is responsible for monitoring the performance of the operations rooms and monitoring the implementation of requirements. The Laboratory is also responsible for organizing brainstorming sessions that help improve the staff’s performance.
The Abu Dhabi Police recently inaugurated the laboratory, which is seen as the first of its kind in the world. It contributes to enhancing the police force’s work by introducing the best techniques and tools that are available, in order to improve the quality of services offered to the people.
Major General Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, Director General of Central Operations at Abu Dhabi Police said: “The laboratory is an interactive management center that has technical and operational equipment, and a staff from the Strategic Planning Sector who are institutionally qualified and distinguishable.“ He pointed that the laboratory specializes in monitoring the performance of the operations rooms, maintain the necessary standards and requirements, and are responsible for holding brainstorming sessions that will help improve the police force’s performance.
Al Raisi listed a number of goals set by the laboratory including, the cultivation of a culture of excellence, monitoring the main performance indicators relevant to increasing efficiency, productivity, operations improvement, encouraging creativity and innovation, providing a convenient environment to control, evaluate and improve performance in addition to implementing knowledge through learning from mistakes and diminishing them, and ensuring the staff’s competency.
The Major General asserted that the establishment of the laboratory is in line with the government’s aim to promote innovation, and highlights Abu Dhabi Police’s commitment to adopting the highest standards and official practices that improve services and increase the competency level.
