A delegation of Police College recruits visited the Directorate General of Guards and Special Tasks at Abu Dhabi Police, to get acquainted with its various tasks and duties.
The delegation was greeted by Brigadier General Fares Khalifa Obaid Al Farisi, Director General, who gave the recruits a brief description on the various functions entrusted to the Directorate. Moreover, Al Farisi advised the students to double the efforts through field work; wishing them success in their studies and future work. “Young people are the country’s hope; its present and future,” he noted.
During their visit, the students attended live trainings and conferences on the respective directorates’ workflow. They valued the visit that allowed them to get closely acquainted with the Directorate General of Guards and Special Tasks’ functions. Moreover, the students pointed out that choosing to serve in the Air Wing Section of Abu Dhabi Police emanates from their love for the country, and fulfills their childhood dream of serving the country and society.
Lieutenant Colonel Hamdan Al Shehhi, member of the Police College Teaching faculty, and Captain Mohamed Al Aantali from the Police College Education Department accompanied the delegation in its tour, which included the Guards and Special Tasks Directorate along with the Government and Diplomatic Facilities Protection Department.
