The United Arab Emirates, represented in the Emirates Animal Welfare Society, has launched the Society's website on the Internet (www.eawsuae.com).
The new website was launched by Nasser Lakhrebani Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Society who stressed that the launch of this site was intended to promote the objectives of the Society to protect animal environment within the country, coordinate with international societies to exchange information in regards to endangered animals, discuss ways to preserve them and provide assistance and advice to owners of animals, under the supervision of specialized professionals in this field.
The Emirates Animal Welfare Society aims to raise awareness of issues relating to animal welfare, urge the public to treat animals gently, encourage them to engage in volunteer work pertaining to animals protection, promote positive behavior while dealing with animals and educate the public about the importance of animal and their role in maintaining the ecological balance, which ensure the continuity of life on Earth.
These objectives also include organizing of caravans to provide medical treatment for animals, in coordination with the specialized centers in the country.
