Citizen Reports Crime After Seeing Blood Stains Near Home
A citizen residing in Madinat Khalifa in Abu Dhabi notified Abu Dhabi Police’s Operations Room about a suspected murder after noticing blood stains near his house’s fence.
He also added that he saw a woman getting out of her car and taking “something” out of her car that was covered with a jacket, before burying it in the dirt and running away prior to his arrival. There, he saw the jacket covered with blood in addition to blood stains that were all over the place.
The police alerted its forces and requested medical examiners from the Crime Scene Department, the Criminal Investigations Department and a criminal patrol, who dug out a cat that had been killed in an unfortunate accident after it had been run over.
Colonel Dr. Rashid Mohammad Borshid, Head of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) at the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ, explained the best means to handle such incidents. He instructed people to notify the Operations Rooms or communicate with municipalities who have special sections for abandoned animals. He also advised people to abstain from suspicious or frightening behavior that could trigger legal responsibility, and to avoid wasting the time of safety and security forces that others might need.
