Lt. Colonel Salman Qahtan Al Shamesi, head of support services at Abu Dhabi Police Special Tasks Department, attended earlier the graduation ceremony of advanced contact protection course.
23 police officers, non commissioned officers and personnel, participated in the course which was held at the Special Tasks Section in Al Ain.
The course is delivered within the general strategic plan of Abu Dhabi Police to train and qualify its human cadres, in order to enhance their performance, said Al Shamesi.
The department endeavors to provide VIP protection police personnel with advanced skills, in collaboration with leading institutions concerned with security training, he added.
The participants received theoretical and practical training including VIP and motorcade protection, as well as fighting arts and tactical shooting.
At the end of the ceremony, Al Shamesi distributed certificates to the graduates and honored experts and instructors.
