Sheikh Saif receives UNICEF representatives
His Highness Lt.Gen.Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan,the Minister of Interior received at his office ,the representatives of the UNICEF for the middle east and African region and discussed with them various issues related to the rehabilitation of the child camel jockeys.
Ms. John Conge, the UNICEF representative for the gulf region evaluated the action taken by the UAE government in stopping the children being used as the camel jockeys and appreciated the government’s effort in this regard.
Dr. Omar Abadi also the UNICEF representative for the region discussed about the various issues related to the rehabilitation of the child jockeys.
Sheikh Saif reiterated the government’s commitment to the agreement signed with the UNICEF in this regard and assured all the support and assistance for the return and rehabilitation of the children in their respective countries.
The UNICEF representatives appreciated the Minister for his commitment, support and action taken for the rehabilitation of the child jockeys.
