To mark World Heart Day, the Media and Public Relations Section at the Naturalization, Residency and Ports Sector at the Ministry of Interior, organized an awareness lecture titled "Together for a healthy heart". The lecture was delivered by Dr. Sherif Bakir, Consultant Cardiologist at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City, in Al Ittihad hall at the Naturalization, Residency and Ports Affairs headquarters.
This lecture is part of the cultural and awareness program developed by the Media and Public Relations Section. It aims to raise health awareness among the department’s staff members, and acquaint them with the importance of maintaining a healthy heart, by providing health-related information and guidance, which highlight the need to maintain a healthy lifestyle in order to preserve cardiovascular health and lower the risk of blood clots.
Towards the end of the lecture, Dr. Bakir answered the audience’s questions and inquiries. He also provided them with advice and guidance, and stressed the need to exercise regularly and follow a balanced diet, which would improve physical fitness and reduce health risks.
A number of specialists from Sheikh Khalifa Medical City, who accompanied the lecturer, conducted free medical tests and distributed educational brochures to the sector’s staff members and the audience.
