To mark the Mawlid Al Nabi (Prophet Mohammed’s Birthday), the Directorate General of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Abu Dhabi hosted a religious lecture at the directorate’s mosque delivered by Dr. Ahmed Noureddine Al Zamil, religious preacher at the General Authority for Islamic Affairs and Endowments. In his lecture, Dr. Al Zamil highlighted Prophet Mohammed’s life, as well as his guidance and teachings in all situations and events throughout his life that brought forth believers from darkness to the light.
The preacher talked about the Prophet’s character and qualities (peace be upon him), such as honesty, compassion, humility, and how we can apply them in our daily life as a behavior pattern. Furthermore, Dr. Al Zamil stressed that celebrating the Prophet’s birthday should be expressed by following the Prophet’s teachings as contained and detailed in the Sunnah.
Towards the end of the lecture, Colonel Yussef Ismail Al Khouri, Deputy Director General of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Abu Dhabi, presented a commemorative shield to the General Authority for Islamic Affairs and Endowments, and handed over a certificate of appreciation to the lecturer.
