The delegation of the Security Support Department in Abu Dhabi Police concluded its visit to the Italian capital, Rome, by reviewing the tasks of the ‘First Force’ within the Mobile Unit Division in the Italian Carabinieri, in charge of public security tasks.

The delegation, headed by Colonel Khaled Saeed Al Shamesi, Head of the Security Support Department, was greeted by the Commander of the VIII Army Corps at the Italian Carabinieri, Colonel Baldassare Daidone. Colonel Daidone briefed the delegation on the nature of the work of his unit.

Moreover, the delegation watched a documentary, during which Colonel Daidone highlighted  the tasks undertaken by the Mobile Unit Division’s ‘First Force’ at  the Italian Carabinieri, as well as the tasks of the rest of the task forces. The Security Support delegation also attended a live presentation in the training field and visited the Weapons Section, and the Equipment and Vehicles Department.

The delegation also met with General Vincenzo Di Trolio, Commander of the Mobile Unit Division’s ‘First Force’ at the Italian Carabinieri. During the meeting, both parties discussed means to exchange experiences and cooperation in the training field with the Abu Dhabi Police. General Di Trolio praised the efficiency of the police and security services in the UAE, and the significant strides they have achieved in the security and police fields, not only in the region but globally. He also promised to exchange visits to further discuss other areas of cooperation.

The Security Support Department’s delegation included Major Mohammed Mubarak Al Masa’bi, Security Support Patrols Branch Manager; First Warrant Officer Ismail Ali Al Hosani; Italian training specialist Giancarlo Candiano; and Legal Consultant Abu Baker Abdullah Abdul Wahhab.
